Hector Tile Company began its concrete drain tile manufacturing business in Hector, MN in 1964.  Prior to opening the business in Hector, Newton and Lyndon Anderson installed drain tile for farmers in the area.  They also manufactured tile on their family farm south of Hector before moving the business into town.  Today the company is owned by Dwight and Paul Anderson, who purchased it in 1995.  

The high demand for drainage allowed the business to flourish from its start in 1964.  Through the years, the drainage industry has evolved along with the farming practices.  Modern farms maintain their profitability in large part due to improved drainage.  For over 100 years concrete drain tile have had a remarkable track record in both private and county drainage systems.  These systems have outlived many bridges, buildings and highways.  But, as with all infrastructures, they eventually need to be upgraded or replaced.  

Over the past 50 years, Hector Tile Co. has continued to build upon the inherent strength of concrete.  There have been numerous improvements in mix design, machine capabilities and overall quality control for concrete drain tile and tile installations.  Hector Tile Co. has responded to the requirements for higher flow rates, deeper installations, and modern installation methods by producing tile in an ever increasing range of diameters, lengths, wall thicknesses and mix designs.  It's clear that concrete tile continues to be the best option for farm drainage and you can be certain that when you choose concrete, you will have chosen a product that will last well into the next century.
